The main window

Circuit windows, the command line, the message window and the menus.

Circuit windows

Each circuit loaded is shown in its own window, where it can be edited. Several can be open at once; the Window menu arranges them and moves between them. The text is highlighted to make the structure clearer:

Right-click in a circuit window for the usual editing menu, with two more items: Plot and Print. Select a node name, such as out, and choose Plot to run plot out, or Print to run print out. The same items are on the Edit menu.

The command line and message window

Commands typed at the prompt are run as in the interactive interpreter; the prompt shows the command number. Up and Down step through the commands typed before. Each command, including those run from the menus and dialogs, is echoed in the message window with its output, so the menus also show the commands they use.

Help

User Manual (F1) opens this manual in your web browser. The program looks for the manual, docs/html/index.html, beside itself, then in each directory above it (so a build in the source tree finds the source tree's manual), and on macOS first inside the application bundle's Resources. If it can't find it, it says where it looked.
