The Plot dialog
Build a plot command from the Plot menu.
The Plot dialog sets the options of a plot command graphically. When you press OK, it runs the command, which is echoed in the message window, and opens a plot window. The vectors plotted are those of the current plot; see setplot.
- Plot expression(s)
- The vectors or expressions to plot, separated by spaces, such as
v(in) v(out)ordb(v(out)). - vs
- If checked, plot against the X expression given (
vs) instead of the plot's default scale, such as time or frequency.
Graph Limits
- Use Y Axis limits (YLo, YHi)
- The range of the Y axis (
ylimit). - Use X Axis limits (XLo, XHi)
- The range of the X axis (
xlimit).
Grid
- Use X grid spacing, Use Y grid spacing
- The spacing of the grid lines (
xdelta,ydelta). - Use a log X axis, Use a log Y axis
- Logarithmic axes (
xlog, ylog). - Set index range of points to plot (Lo, Hi)
- Plot only the points with these indices (
xindices). - Decimate plot points (Every N points)
- Plot only one point in every N (
xcompress).
Title/Labels
- X Label, Y Label
- The axis labels (
xlabel,ylabel). - Plot Title
- The title of the plot (
title).
Options
- Draw separate graphs for each vector expression
- One chart for each expression, stacked in the plot window (
multiplot). - Override default X axis to linear
- Use a linear X axis where it would otherwise be logarithmic, as for an ac analysis by decade (
linear). - Override grid to linear
- A linear grid (
lingrid). - Polar
- A polar grid of magnitude circles and angle lines, plotting the imaginary part against the real part without transforming the data (
polar). - Smith Chart
- A Smith chart grid, transforming the data by (z−1)/(z+1) (
smith). Normalise impedances to the reference impedance first. - Smith grid
- The same Smith chart grid, but the data is plotted as it is, without the transformation (
smithgrid). - Plot data points only
- Draw the points without joining them (
pointplot). - Plot points in comb fashion
- Draw a vertical line from each point to the X axis (
combplot).
Example
Plot expression db(v(out)), with a log X axis and the title Gain, runs
plot db(v(out)) xlog title "Gain"
